One: Put all your special items in a box and set it aside for me
So many times, I show up early and I am ready to go but your items aren’t. By setting them aside in a special box for me, I don’t need to interrupt you and I can hit the ground running. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but if it is, I am happy to use it as a background for your items.
Two: Include any special ribbons you have used in your bouquets or invitations
Any little touches that you have used in your theme will really any cohesion to your wedding album.
Three: Remove all the packaging and hang your dress from a beautiful hanger
Bonus points if you have matching hangers for your whole bridal party. Don’t get hung up (ha, pun totally intended) on anything crazy. These simple white Ikea hangers are awesome
Four: Ask your florist for a handful of stems from your bouquet
If you have chosen me as your wedding photographer, you probably know that my favorite things are natural and organic. The same goes for accenting your beautiful wedding details. Sometimes a simple understated stem of greenery is all I need to tie it all together.
Five: Keep all the rings in one spot.
Rings are the most common items that I am missing when I am photographing details. Set them aside for me and I promise to deliver them to the Best Man when I head over to take their portraits.
Six: Elements from your decor
If you are using wine crates or vintage books in your table decor, they also make fabulous accents for your shoes, veil and rings. They are another lovely element that adds a beautiful theme to your images.
