Abigail’s senior portrait session was particularly special to me because she is our nanny! And, you have to have something extra special in the works for the beautiful young lady who can play dress up with Lia while light sabre fighting with Mat! She wanted easy-going and farm inspired so my husband, Erik, and I put our minds to it and came up with Castle Hill which stood out among all the amazing Charlottesville locations that would be ideal for senior portraits. We had the absolutely perfect night — the weather, the lighting and the quiet rolling hills of Castle Hill’s breathtaking grounds. I got to know Abigail in a brand new light and had a blast hanging out with her.
Taylor at Blue Ridge School of Esthetics came out to Crozet from Waynesboro (Thank you, Taylor!) to help with Abigail’s makeup. She is an absolute star at soft, glowing makeup that enhances without overpowering.
She also brought a beautiful bouquet of peonies, poppies and wild flowers which had been created just for us by the lovely Sara Kite! The lovely flowers added a little country elegance to our portrait session.
