Lauren and Matthew,
Your wedding was just perfect. The weather was amazing and the mountain view at House Mountain Inn was exquisite. Standing on the veranda, while you said your vows, we were just surrounded by mountains on every side. Each little detail you chose just added to the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and your venue. And your dress, Lauren! I can’t say enough about your dress!
I had the best time getting to know you both better (even though I missed Jack and Bowden) and getting to know your families. I can honestly say, your families are some of the kindest, most inclusive, most loving people I have ever met. It was obvious that no one is giving anyone away and you are just making both families bigger. I came home and told my kids all about your families and how I hope we are as close when they are adults.
And, the two of you…. Your love for each other just lights up a room. After your ceremony, when you were alone for a few minutes while we gathered family for portraits, it was like you were the only two people on the planet– just lost in each other–I know you will have a life full of joy, happiness and many hiking adventures.
Thank you for asking me to be part of your day. It was such an honor to be included and treated like a member of the family for a weekend! 🙂
ps- Beth and Amy say “Go Dukes!”
A very special thank you to Beth Kagarise and Amy Wells for all their camaraderie, hard work and, of course, gorgeous images.
